ADHD Assessment
Child, Adolescent, Adult
A specific type of neuropsychological assessment is testing for the presence of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ADHD constitutes a set of symptoms including difficulty with sustained attention, disorganization, lack of prolonged mental effort, difficulty remaining seated or quiet when that behavior is expected, and/or exhibition of impulsive behaviors. Testing for ADHD can help determine whether such behavior patterns are interfering with a person’s routine or activities to a degree that warrants a diagnosis of ADHD, which in turn allows individuals to learn more about their mental functioning so they can perform necessary tasks as efficiently as possible.
